Community Assistance Programs & Community Service Block Grant provides
emergency assistance to persons and families for food, housing, medicine, work and education.
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists persons and
families with heating and cooling costs. Protects from winter shut-off: To avoid potential disconnection of services please contact the Human Services Department for eligibility information. Your services will not be disconnected from November 15 to March 15.
Qualified farm workers receive job training and/or classroom training to increase their basic skills or work skills in order to obtain unsubsidized employment. Provide work readiness training along with supportive services with the goal of helping people reach a higher level of self-sufficiency. Help-NM’s youth program goals are to improve educational achievement, job readiness and employment opportunities for youth 14-21 years old.

In tough economic times, sometimes many people need a little help to get by. Our Good Neighbor Fund, funded through the generosity of our employees, shareholders and customers was established to help those in need.
PNM customers who are facing a financial emergency can receive a grant to help pay part or all of a past-due PNM bill. Every year, the Good Neighbor Fund distributes tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of families in our service area for bill payment support. This program is administered by Samaritan House in Las Vegas, NM.
