The Peer-to-Peer Warmline is a free statewide program that offers New Mexicans a place to call and talk with people with lived experience, also known as Peer Support Workers, who are available to support you when you are just wanting someone to talk to about an emotional, mental, behavioral, and/or substance use concern; recovery; resiliency; or resources.Â
Warmline staff provide confidential non-crisis support as specially trained call-takers who have had personal experience in the past navigating mental health, behavioral health, and substance use concerns for themselves, their children, or others they know.
Warmline peer specialists work in close coordination with the professional staff on the New Mexico 988 Crisis and Access Line and are available to call from 7:00am -11:30pm MT or by text from 6:00pm-11:00pm MT, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Recovery-Friendly Taos County (RFTC) was formed in 2012 in accordance with a larger national and statewide effort to create Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC). The goal is to foster a recovery-positive environment that welcomes those that are new to recovery into the community, capable of providing meaningful assistance as they seek to transition from a life dominated by substance abuse or mental health issues to a stable, lasting, self-motivated recovery. Recovery-Friendly Taos offers peer support from staff with lived experience. Services include assistance with job training and placement, applications for services such as housing and SNAP benefits, food and hygiene.

We serve adults, children, adolescents, and families. The children we serve are between ages 5 and 21 with or at-risk of behavioral health disorders (SED/NBD/COD) in all the locations and surrounding communities we serve. We also serve adults with or at-risk of severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and co-occurring disorders (COD) in all our service areas except Santa Fe County.
We specialize in providing services in home, school, and community-based settings while collaborating with multiple agencies and systems, including, but not limited to; health care facilities, social services agencies, government entities like Children Youth and Families Department and Adult Protective Services Division, school districts, aftercare programs like the YMCA, child-serving agencies, and faith-based organizations.

The Seniors Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is now offering Electronic Mobile and Shopper card benefits up to $50 to senior adults (over age 60) for Non-Native American and senior adults (over age 55) for Native American, who live in New Mexico, to buy locally grown fruits, vegetables, cut herbs, and honey from select farmers’ markets, mobile farmers’ markets, and roadside stands across the state.
