Services Provided: Economic Council Helping Others, Inc. provides numerous services to low-income
individuals and families in San Juan County. These services include the following:
Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) - assists income qualified seniors 60 years or older, monthly,
with nutritious foods, basic nutrition information and recipes. Also, Senior Care Kits for Incontinence are
available.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) - is provided monthly in emergency food boxes for all San
Juan County residents with low-income. Some types of Food Boxes are Food and Nutrition (Fan) monthly special
diet boxes. These are provided to individuals on specially prescribed diets (such as medically fragile, diabetes,
etc.), for persons who cannot qualify for other programs. (Please provide a letter from your family doctor, proof
of physical address, proof of household income and a Picture I.D). Holiday Food boxes – Merry
Christmas/Thanksgiving food boxes are available during holidays. (Please bring your Picture I.D for adults and
proof of physical address). Also bring any other legal document for minors, proof of physical address &
household incomes.
