As of FY21, Linkage’s programming is projected to
serve over 300 households annually with a Linkages voucher (rental assistance) but depends upon household
size and turnover.
Linkages is a tenant-based, permanent supportive housing program for homeless adults who are diagnosed with
severe mental illness (SMI) and are also functionally impaired. As the subcontractor overseeing Housing
Administrators, the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) provides rental assistance for extremely
low-income households in 6 sites throughout NM since 2007. As of FY21, Linkage’s programming is projected to
serve over 300 households annually with a Linkages voucher (rental assistance) but depends upon household
size and turnover.
These support services subcontractors, 11 providers throughout NM, are overseen by BHSD staff. The providers
screen for eligibility and refer Linkage’s applicants to the Housing Administrator; assist consumers to obtain and
maintain their supportive housing by providing required supportive housing services including engagement,
service planning, crisis prevention and intervention, resource coordination, skill building, symptom management
